If you currently have less than 6 inches of loft insulation or no cavity wall insulation, you could qualify for one of our special grants, which could significantly reduce your heating costs. You may even qualify for free insulation.

Once you contact us, we will work with an Appointed Installer who will arrange for a survey of your home to assess the cost of installation.
Eligibility for free insulation
You may be eligible for free insulation if you receive the following benefits:
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Disability living allowance
- Attendance allowance
- Income –based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Disablement Pension Benefit (which must include constant attendance allowance)
- War Disablement Pension (which must include the motability supplement or constant attendance allowance)
- Child Tax Credit (where relevant income is less than £14,600 per annum)
- Working Tax Credit (where relevant income is less than £14,600 per annum)
- Pension Credit (State Pension or aged over 60 does not automatically qualify)
- People 70 and over
Terms and conditions
Offer is available to all domestic owner-occupied properties.
Tenants may be considered but inclusion will be at the sole discretion of Scottish and Southern Energy.
Mainland UK only. (Note availability and installations on the islands subject to the availability of a suitable contractor).
Only available for retrofit installations. Any new or refurbishment developments, where building regulations require the property to be insulated, are excluded
