Factual videos

Lord May has contributed to E-Day by summarising our current understanding of the science of climate change, and answering some of the most frequently asked such as "What is the role that humans in climate change?" and "Why we should bother to act if China is building a new coal-fired power station every week?"

Lord May : The Science of Climate Change

Lord May is a Professor in Zoology at Oxford University and Princeton. He has also been the UK Government's Chief Scientist and the President of the Royal Society, the UK's National Academy of Science.

Additional factual films have been made with the National Trust and The Carbon Cycle.

The National Trust has helped to make a film which shows how their properities - including a peatland, a coastline, a historic house, a garden and an old cotton mill are dealing with the problems and challenges that are already being generated by climate change. The assistance of Ellie Robinson, Erica Jobson, Sophie Jobson and the staff at all of the National Trust's properties was invaluable in the making of this film.

The Carbon Cycle boys (Will Ashley-Cantello, Ben Meaker, Tom Tapper and Pete Clutton-Brock) cycled the length of Britain - from Land's End in Cornwall to John O'Groats in Scotland - last summer.

Special thanks to Mark Turner (Director / Producer) and Jan Langford (Editor) for their help with making these films.
